HP LaserJet9000 Server CPU

HP 9000dn printer in a Windows 2000 SmallBusiness Server environment has 2 problems.

1.When users have the printer set as the default the Processor on the server goes berzerk. Take off the default life is good.

2.when users try to print throught Office XP nothting prints but notepad works, test print from driver works, IE works etc..

Environment is W2k SBS, W2k workstation +1 XP workstation. Server is running basic apps. Jeff

Check that you have the latest firmware upgraded on both the LJ 9000 and the JetDirect card.

thanks hpwizzard I did validate that before posting and it's current.

I also tried beta drivers from an HP tech person and it was a no go. Settled for now printing direct to the printer. Jeff
