HP Laserjet P1005 not Working on Open Solaris 9

I need to connect our HP LJ P1005 to our multiplatform network (Mac OS 10.5, Windows XP Home, Windows Vista and Solaris 9). Any Suggestions? Ive tried a lot of ways to connect with no success, using USB cable (on XP, on Solaris). I'm thinking of buying the D-Link DPR-1020 (Mini USB printer server). What do you suggest?
