Hi There
I am having a problem with a printer of mine - its a HP4100 and its on a standard TCP/IP network, the other week it just stopped working.

I can ping the ip address and produce config pages from the printer itself.

However no matter what I do it will no print anything over the network.
I have uninstalled this printer and re-installed but had no joy.

Any ideas????

Not sure if this is the same issue I had or not. If so, you could try the following...

Turn off the printer.
Remove the JetDirect card.
Power up the printer.
Wait until it is finished starting up.
Shut down the printer.
Put the JetDirect back in.
Turn on the printer.

Hopefully this will fix it.

Sounds like the JD card i corrupted. Make a menu map of the printer to get a print of the settings along with the configpage. Afterwards do a cold reset on the printer by pressing and holding the GO button while turning on the printer until it reads Cold reset in the display. Wait a few min. then to see if the printer picks a new IP itself and try to make a configpage. If there`s an IP on the configpage then, reconfigure IP if needed in the driver and try to print again.
