Hi,

I've got a HP LASERJET III. The problem with it is that it wont print anything. When you turn it on the LCD says 50-service. I've evenn cleaned the inside of the printer. I have been to HP's website and it says to do a cold reset, Which I have. I've also e-mailed them, but haven't had any response. That was 3 weeks ago.

Any help will be apreciated

Thanks

run a google search on "hp printer error codes". Think this is a motor speed problem but the memory is beginning to fail. Ed Fair

I have ran into this problem with our 4si and 5si and I have replaced the memory and all works great.

Hey,

This is most likely a power supply problem for the LaserJet III. Search "laserjet III error code 50 service" or something very similar on Google.com and you'll get a wealth of information. It seems to be a fairly expensive problem to fix.

Good Luck!

LASERJET III ERROR 50 Refers to a bad fuser and possibly, but not always an A/C power module.

first thing to do is to replace the fusing assembly. This is the item that bonds the toner to you paper. This part can be purchased at
Its a very easy thing to do.. four screws and your done.
The part # is RG1-0939.

it is 90 percent of the time a bad fuser.... like the man said... js error; 67 on line; 36 of signature.class

And for a couple of more screws and carful handling the bulb can be replaced for about $15.00. Ed Fair
