HP Laserjet 5

I'm trying to install a Laserjet 5 on a users machine as a local printer, but it doesn't print a job until I shut the computer down.

Has anyone ever seen this issue before?

What status does the print queue indicate when attempting to print?

Try reinstalling the driver or change it to a LJ4 driver. Make sure the option Enable bidirectional support is checked.

Here is what I did. I set the interupt from 1 to 3 in the BIOS. I uninstalled the LPT1 port and had it search for new hardware to acknowledge the ECP Printer Port and install the drivers. I deleted the Laserjet 5 and reinstalled it.
