We unpluged our HP Laserjet 4200 during a weekend and when we reconnected it the following Monday, it starts emiting a long beep everytime we send a print job. No error message shows up.
Has anyone experienced the same thing?
I appreciate your help.
Thanks

LOL... A LJ 4200 beeping ? Since when does that printer have a speaker or even piezo built in ?
That is impossible ! More likely it's the power supply emitting a high freqency noise like older TV's or the laser mirror that starts spinning.

The LJ 4200 will beep to indicate the following:

- manual feed

If it's a tower version then there are 5 different types of beeps, indicating combinations of the following:

- tower tray paper jam
- tower tray motor blocked

See for more information about the beep codes.

Hope this info helps...
