I have a LaserJet 4100T printer that is not printing from tray one. When I print a cleaning page and it says to manually insert page into tray one it never recognizes that paper is there

if you print a configuration,what does it say about tray one.

I'm not sure if you have ever come across this or not but it doesn't have a tray one Under Paper Trays and Options it reads...

Mopier = OFF
Default paper Size: LETTER
Tray 2 (LETTER)
Tray 3 (LETTER)

Does it try to print but fails to pick up the paper? If so then look at the pickup/separation rollers. If they're smooth without a faint design, then they're worn and should be replaced.
