HP LaserJet 4100N 49.4c04 service error

Hello,

I have a networked HP LaserJet 4100N giving me a 49.4c04 service error. Sometimes a simple re-boot will clear and resume normal printing function. This error keeps returning and I can't find obvious reason for it??

Has anyone experienced this error condition?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

A 49.xxxx error is a communication error. When you say that a restart clears the error message this means that there probably is a specific print job causing the issue.

Try using another driver (PCL5e or PS).
