I have a 4050 connected locally to a PC. It is used to print product histories.
When I hit print on the touchscreen, the printer acts like it is receiving data(lcd reads, "processing job"), then nothing. No error message, no blank page. Nothing. The paper never gets picked up and the rollers in the exit assy never start rolling. The printer never returns an error message or paper jam, either.

The printer will print a test page from itself(such as one of the menus).
I printed out the event log and there was a bunch of "paper delay jams" but I never see any paper in the print path. The pick-up roller looks fine.

Help, please. Thanks

There should be a test page you can print from the installed printer icon.

Start > Settings > Printers. Then right click printer icon, select Properties, then hit the Print Test Page button. That will prove if PC is communicating with printer.

It's connected to an NDC box. It just monitors the output of a machine, that's all. No OS, just a touchscreen monitor. There isn't a way to test it.

I got the printer printing. I don't know how, exactly. LOL. I reset the printer to the factory defaults and it prints.

BTW, it's connected via a serial to parallel decoder. Model CVTSP2. This adapter has 10 jumpers on it and the configuration menu is printed on the back of the adapter. I checked those settings with the terminal's settings. Then I turned off flow control and it started printing.
I then set it back to XON\XOFF, and it still printed. So I left it like that. Go figure.

Thanks for the input, anyway.
