hp laserjet 4 m plus printers help on deploymentplease

We have 5 HP Laserjet 4 Mplus printers on the network they seem not tobe obtaininh their ip address from bootp,also cannot print a test page from windows printer ptoperties anyone got ideas???

If I recall that model it only has one button right? Hold it in and it should print the config page so you can see what it is configured with currently.

I think this printer has full blown control panel with several buttons. You need to take it offline and then run through the menus to find "Self test", which will print config page.
BEAWULF (sorry for asking), when you say BOOTP, do yo mean bootp or DHCP?
Have they worked before?
Can you print anything from a PC except for test page or you cannot even connect to them?
