I have replaced a faulty HP with a known working one in a satellite office. I deleted the existing one from the server it was installed on, but it had been showing as "deleting" for 2 hours now and has a document in the queue i cannot get rid of. Sadly the new 1320 has assigned itself an IP address i cannot ping or browse to.

What can i do to either give this printer a valid ip or get it working??

Posted in 2 forums as i am unsure of the best place for it

Well i have a valid IP address, how can i install the printer now, sadly i dont have the CD on me at the moment

Thanks

Step 1 - download the new driver from HP
Step 2 - Go into the server's "services" in the admin tools. Stop and re-start the spooler process, that should unlock the print process. It's easier than rebooting.
Step 3 - That should have deleted the printer - add the new one.
