HP LaserJet 1300 not printing

I have a laserjet 1300 attached to a PC using a USB cable. It quit printing/communicating. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling it, even to the point of using a parallel cable instead, still not working.
I took it to another machine and it works fine. I tried a new USB cable, different USB port on the machine, still not working. Other USB devices plugged into the same port work fine.
I am running XP Pro and have the latest drivers. It is not a shared printer, just local.
Any suggestions anyone???

Also, are the other systems on which the printer works ok also using Windows XP Pro(as well as any SP updates)?
