HP LASERJET 1222 SCANNER/PRINTER

From time to time, the scanning does not run and the computer thinks the printer is disconnected. On checking, the printer driver is missing and has to be re-installed in order for the printer to work again.

Need a solution please!

Is the printer connected to the USB or parallel port ? Check the powersave settings for these ports in the BIOS of the connected PC. If the printer keeps disappearing it could be that the printer spooler system application of your PC has become corrupt. A complete sweep of previous installed software and reinstall of the drivers are then recommended. Also check for updated drivers at HP.com
