Does anyone know a way to make the "unsupported personality" error go away when trying to use the 1012 as a shared printer. I know it is a host based printer and apperently not fully PCL compatable (all the 1000 series but the 1015). But, the only solution I can find is to clear the print job and power cycle the printer. As this happens every 10 pages or so this is not acceptable for a user to have to do. We recently purchase 3 of these printers for our staff to use, thinking since it was an HP product it would be a decent printer with good support. But, so far its been a nightmare trying to use it as a networked printer.

Think maybe hpwizard has an answer for you in the thread I gave you earlier.

Yep the host based driver provided on Hp site seems to fix the issue. You would think they would install it by default when you setup the printer.

Thanks for the help diogenes10
