I'm having the exact same issue as posted below by bbeberstein (MIS) on 7 Sep 07 12:04. Can anyone help with this? Was a solution ever found? I've tried everything I can think of.

"When trying to connect an HP LaserJet 1020 to Windows XP pro I get the following message. Cannot install this Hardware There was a problem installing this hardware: HP LaserJet 1020 An error occurred during the installation of the device. The specified port is unknown.
the device shows up in the device manager and states that it is working fine, however, it does not show in the printers and faxes folder. I have removed all of the usb ports and devices and rebooted, all came back, the printer still had the same error."
