When I turn my laptop on I can see the HP logo well but when Windows XP starts to run the screen goes black, you ca verily see the Windows XP logo.

What can I do about it?

Try another monitor just to be sure.

Try loading safe mode and see if it looks the same.

Try re-installing the video card drivers if you can see enough in Windows to do so.

Does your Monitor have a brightness adjustment you can use?

Thanks for the answer I will try what you tell me. It does have a brightness adjustment but it seems to do nothing.

I access in safe mode and it worked great, I'm downloading the original drivers to see if that is the problem.

Any other suggestions?
