HP Jetdirect 500X print server

Hi,

I am trying to use a printer with an external HP jetdirect box but can't seem to figure out how to change the IP number on it.

I have attached all cables correctly and can print a test page giving the IP number of 192.0.0.192 (the default)

I can't ping this number from anywhere on the network (all our other networked machines start with 192.168.10.xxx) so I think I'm correct in thinking that I have to change the IP address.

Any help on this wold be greatly appriciated.

Try and change the IP, so it gets within the range of the subnet mask. That will probably help a great deal. The IP can be configured fx. by downloading HP`s Web JetAdmin here: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/networking/software/hpwjnt_en.exe
