Hello,
I have recently setup 2 new HP printers, all have the built in Jetdirect cards. I run Novell Netware 5.1, SP5 with queue based printing. My issue is not with being able to print, but an error I am recieving in the Jetadmin v3.42 software while viewing my new printers' info.
The error I am getting is: "Server Error. A communication problem exists between the HP Jetdirect print server and the file server."
However, all print jobs go through just fine and I am able to see my printer through Jetadmin. In the printer configuration, my jetdirect card's status is "ready". The way I setup my printers was by creating the printer objects, print queues, and assignments through NWAdmin, then configure the printers through Jetadmin. All my other printers are fine and no errors are reported. I have tried reinstalling the printers, as well as reinstalling Jetadmin to no avail. Is this a problem that can be fixed or should I take it with a grain of salt? If possible, I would like to try and fix it. Thanks.
