I'm having problem print to an OfficeJet G95 printer. When user submit a printing job, "Document failed to print due to GDI/Driver error in rendering" will appear in the event viewer. And nothing gets printed.

If I add a user to the adminstrator group, the print job will work fine.

I also have a HP LaserJet 4050 attached to the same print server and everything works fine.

I tried to stop/start the print spooler but it didn't help.

Help anyone?

JLU,

Did you figure out how to fix your problem? I am having the same problem as you were. It does not matter what group the user belongs to, they cannot print o this particular printer. As an Administrator I cannot print to the Printer from server either.
I have tried giving everyone modify rights on the Spooler folder and that also did not work.

Thanks

Thanks to Richard Roberts, I was able to solve the problem today.

Richard suggested adding "Full Control" permission to "Authenticated Users" in the C:\winnt\temp directory on the print server.

I also tried just "Read" & "Write" permissions and it worked as well.

Hope this helps.

jlu,

I tried what u did and it did work for two print jobs from the server but the Users still cannot print to this printer. I gave "Authenticated Users" Full Control. This is the only printer in our organization that is not properly working. It is a LaserJet 4000.
I am lost on what do try next.

Thanks

Thank you Thank you Thank you!
I had the exact same problem as jlu
Your solution concerning permissions on the temp directory solved it perfectly.
Thank you.
