Hi there,

For my HP DL380G3 with SmartArray5i controller, I got 3x72G in raid5. Can I replace 1 72G with 145G & wait for raid5 rebuild, then replace the 2nd & 3rd 72G in same fashion in order to increase total HD capacity?

Many thanks!

Yes, replace the disks one by one, let the RAID restripe onto the new disk (and verify that the process has successfully completed), then move onto the next disk. When the process is finished, you can add the extra diskspace as a new Logical Volume.
