HP DL380 - How Many Citrix Users Are Possible??

Hi all,

I have a HP DL280 (2 x 3Ghz Xeons, 2GB RAM, 60GB approx) which is running Citrix.

Most users run Outlook, Word and Office Communicator with some running some 3rd party software which doesn't push the server to much.

How many users do you think I push it to before I have serious performance problems?

There used to be a guide from MS/Citrix that would give you a calculation based on different scenarios. You could also go to the HP Activeanswers site and look up Citrix for some guidance

We have servers with about the same specs and we run about 20 users on each.

What edition of Citrix do you run, you could look at whats happening on the server with resource manager, or put together some stuff with performance monitor to try and work out where your bottle necks are - this article is interesting for a read

On dual HS20's with 4G of RAM and dual 3.2ghz cpu's I have forty users running desktops quite comfortably.
