Hp Deskjet won't print red color

Hi. I have a Hp deskjet 932c printer which was working fine. I just changed my color ink cartridge with a new HP 78 cartridge. The printer now prints brown instead of red (as shown on the screen). I returned the cartridge and received a new one from the store. The problem persists. I have been through the help at HP. Thoughts ideas please

When you run the printer self test, does red print appropriately on the test page?

Red does not print in the self test page. Also I have tried to print Red in several different application with out success.

Sounds like you'll have to clean the print head.

check the contacts inside the printer that connect to the electrionic strip on the back of the cartridge... sometimes these get crappedup and the printer cannot properly communicate to the cartridge...
