Hi,

My boss uses a HP Deskjet 3325C printer - she has one at the office and one at home. Both printouts come from her Compaq Armada E500 laptop.

But she can't print to her Deskjet from home, and I can't see what's the difference - same printer, same PC.

She used to be able to print before I had to reformat her laptop and reinstall Windows, etc and set everything up just as it was before.

The only difference between home and work is that at home she shares the printer with the family PC (who can print to it !) and so uses a switch box, but assures me that it is correctly switched to her laptop.

Is there anything I can ask her to check ?

Regards,
Jay/UK

I'm not sure but I seem to recall occasional problems with switchboxes and printers if the cable wasn't bidirectional.

How about having her test the printer directly connected to eliminate a bad switch possibility.
