I installed a HP Deskjet 948c printer for a client a couple of weeks ago, on a win98 machine... It printed fine for a couple of weeks, now when they try and print the printer get the signal fine but only prints really really slow ... I don't know what is causing it ... any ideas ?

Im really not sur ebut have you tried unplugging it and letting it set for a while becuse printers have memory and you may just need to do this to clear it up.

Never thought of that but I'll give it a try ... thanks man

If that did not work try these options.
1. try a different printer cable
2. uninstall drivers ( dont just delete it ) and reinstall after a restart.
3. install windows default deskjet driver ( comes with windows ). Do a test print and see if it prints faster.
4. This is remote but I have seen weird things happen when the ink cartridge is faulty. try another one.

Hope this works. let me know
