HP Deskjet 830C, MacOS 9.1

Problem: after installing the HP desjet utilitie (4.13; latetest one) several desktopprinters are builded on the desktop named "1", "2", 3, and so on, till the finder crashes.
Configuration: MacOs 9.1 Int. English • Deskjet 830C • USB • Imac266, 160MB • ATM 4.5.2 • tried different usb-cables, different systems (at my works place) different Operating systems (till 8.5.1) • clean system installation, nothing works.
Guys at HP really irritate me, 'cause they won't ring or mail me back.
Does anyone recognize this problem?

p.s printer works on a USB-PC so that one is working

I ran in to this before, what you need to do in remove the extentions for it and install the orginal driver, and then without opening the chooser install the new version of the driver. I found out that for some reason, if you open the old driver it will corrupts the new one I got this from apple So long and thanks for all the fish.
