hp deskjet 648c will not stop printing test page

I have a 8 month old 648c that will not stop printing the test page even when not connected to the computer. Any time it is turned on it just keeps printing. I'm running WinME, pentium III. I can send things to the printer and it will print them and then just go back to printing the test page repeatedly. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this. As usual the hp experts are no help.
