I have installed the driver for the hp 640c, it worked fine. PC rebooted and now will not print, even a test page from printer properties in Windows 98. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver but still the same problem. I can print a self test page. Any advice would be appreciated.

HP is finicky.
unplug your printer
uninstall the printer
edit the registry & delete references to the printer
go to add printer
when asked use the install disk that came with the printer (if you don't have one then get the latest one from their website). it may ask you to then plug in your printer. if it does not then close out of add printer and do a shut down. have your printer plugged in and connected to the PC before you power back up.
