Have you tried a self test?
(I just tried this on my 690 and I think the 610cl is the same.)
turn the printer off.
While holding down the button above the power button, turn the power back on. Keep both buttons depressed for a few seconds, then let them up. Within a few seconds the printer should print a piece of paper with something.
If the self test doesn't print-you probably have a hardware problem. Take a look for any loose paper stuck in the rollers-and you could also try reseating the ink cartridges- and then try the self test again. If no joy post back maybe someone can help with hardware ideas.
If the self test goes ok, turn the printer back off and reseat both ends of the printer cable (you can also try a different cable if you have one) and power the printer and computer back up, bring printer properties up in control panel and try to print a self test. If the yellow light above the top button flashes, try holding that button down for a few seconds and releasing it and see what happens.
If the print test page doesn't work,
try removing the printer and its driver and reinstalling them, and then go to print test page again.
If it still doesnt work post back-also mention operating system and steps youve tried-and see if someone else can offer suggestions.
good luck.
