At first, I went to the HP web site, but they no longer have a forum nor do they answer questions on printers that are out of warranty (unless you pay a fee).
Actually, I have a few simple questions:
1) Can the HP DeskJet 500 print with the HP/GL-2 printer language? If so, what is the PCL 3 command which will put it into HP/GL-2 mode? What is the command that will return it to PCL mode? If only PCL, where can I get a copy of the HP PCL 3 printer language?
2) What printer language does the HP DeskJet 812c use? PCL or Postscript? If PCL, can it print with the HP/GL-2 printer language? (Same questions as for the HP 500.) If it is Postscript, what version does it use and where can I get a copy of the Postscript language?
Maybe some of the old timers will know. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
