HP DeskJet 1220C

I have an HP DeskJet 1220C that stopped printing. I have cleaned the print cartridges and the carriage, next let them dry, so that they would not miss fire. The amber light is blinking above the ink cartridge.

What is a solution?? I will keep looking.

Make sure everything is sat in place properly. It sounds like one of the safety interlocks is not being engaged.

If I remember right, there is a big door on the back of the printer with a good sized dial on it. Make sure it is locked in place. That one bit me 2 or 3 times.
