HP DDS5 drives on Arcserve 6.61

Hi

Anyone know if Arcserve 6.61 supports the HP DDS5 drives (e.g. HP DAT72e/36-72GB ext SCSI DDS5) or is it necessary to upgrade to V9.0.

OS is SBS 4.5 (NT 4 SP6a)

Are these drives reliable?

I can not speak for the reliability of the drive, but I know the technology came out much later than 6.61 and the software was never tested. It may work but I would not count on it.

there is not much difference between the 4 and 5 revision of the drives, so it will probably work.

Bottom line you will probably have to try it out for yourself.
