HP Dat 8 GB with Tapeassure 2.0 recovery failure

I was called in to try to fix an accounting mistake.
The client would like to roll back to a specific backup date, and has all the tapes.

I am not familiar with this particular software, but it can't possibly be that hard.

There are two sections, one admin, and one everyone.
The backup they do is under everyone....

When they try to restore, and choose a specific session date,it asks for a specific media, but none of the tapes make it happy.

Apparently, they have never been able to restore more than that last backup.

I don't know if security is an issue, but I have them logged in as admin and there is only one password.

I am trying to learn this software on the fly.

Under the admin section there are six MEDIA listed.
I can browse them, but I am not getting anywhere.

Any suggestions please?
