HP Console switch multi user help needed

I am trying to avoid having to buy the multiuser expansion kit for our HP console switches. With our old OmniView switches, it's easy to set up two local station which can each access all the servers on either switch... but with the HP switches, it seems like we need the expansion kit.

The kit is beyond our needs- it uses a cat5 cable to connect a remote terminal to the switch... but all I'm looking for is another kvm set right next to the first on my bench. What I'd like to know is it possible to buy (or splice together) a cable with dual 25pin male connectors, and if so, will this allow me to free up the local connection on the second switch in a daisy-chained set?
