Hi,

The company I do IT for has just acquired this printer from our parent company.

But although the prints are super, they take an eternity to come out ! Even a Windows 98 test page (ie. mostly text !) What's the cheapest way to speed it up - can I add more memory ?

Can you tell me how I know when the toner is getting low and needs changing ? Speaking of which, how many toner cartridges does it take - is it black ? and 3 separate colours ? I don't have a manual at the moment - but want to get up and running as quickly as possible.

Are there any other consumabes and how do I know when they need changing ?

Could you help me please. I'll be very, very grateful.

Regards,
Jay/UK

The status of the toner will automatically be displayed as low or out when the toner is near it`s end of life. Also a supplies status page can be printed of the information menu at the printer. Another option is tó use HP`s monitor tool WebJet Admin, that will keep track of the overall status of HP printers and even some non HP printers in your local network.
An overview of consumables replacement intervals and regular maintenance can be found here : The manual can be ordered freely on a CD along with drivers by calling your country specific HP support, or it can be downloaded partly here :
