HP CLJ5500 - Unable to Replace Image Transfer Kit

Was wondering if anyone has had this issue with the CLJ 5500 before. I was replacing the Image Trasfer Kit, and ran into an issue.

When the removed the current transfer kit, the slot where the new transfer kit slides into on the left hand side went back vertical, the right hand slot stayed at an angle.

The left hand slot will not move from the vertical position, meaning the transfer kit can not be replaced. It seems to be locked in place, and I unable to figure out how to unlock it.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

There is a spring that pulls it back into place. Just pull forward, and it should move.It will be very stiff.

thanks for the reply Michael52x, but we've already tried that, and the slot won't budge at all

It should move but it requires quite some force until it does.

There is a white cam that is held with a spring. You can rotate it by hand to help move the holder. Try lifting the front door up a bit while doing this.
