when i try to scan with my new c7280 hp all-in-one, the computer looks for a aiomrv.msi file which no one can find. Any thoughts?

Did you use the CD for the install? If downloading from HP, make sure that firewall and A/V is off. They can prevent some files that are needed, and cause corruption.
It could be possibly the CD unit mis-read something.

thanks for the reply. Why is it so difficult to uninstall hp software? I have used my system restore and will reinstall c7280 software again to see if this works.
