Hi guys, was wondering if someone could help me. We have two blade enclosures which contain BL460c G7 Blades.

These blades have Windows 2003 installed. The problem is, when we reboot the G7's they take almost exactly 30 minutes to shutdown. Startup seems okay.

Our G6 blades and G1 blades seem to be okay with the same build (G7 build does differ slightly in that it uses HP Foundation Agents 9.1 etc). I have tried stopping all non-windows related services (for instance, foundation agents) before shutdown but this makes no difference. I have also tried changing Power mode from dynaminc to high performance on the off chance, but to no avail.

Anyone else experience the same/similar issue and if so did you fix it and if you did how?

Thanks in advance.

A little bit more information (I have only just been looking into this), but it only seems to be when Citrix is installed. Apparently from what a colleague tells me before then it is okay... hmmm...

I found that very slow shutdowns/reboots due to the setting "clear page file when shutting down". My servers had 24 GB of RAM and by having this set, it took 25-30 minutes, after disabling it, it went to 5 minutes or so.
