Got an HP LPR server running NT Server 4.0 which I need to upgrade. Pop in my W2K Server CD and select "Upgrade" only to get a message that the "HP NetRaid-4M Controller" is not compatible. Need to upgrade driver. Problem is, there is no 4M installed in the machine!!!! There may have been in the past (before I showed up) as I can see numerous HP drivers in c:\winn\system32\drivers

This server has a single 18gb drive. What exactly is happening during setup.exe which discovers this "4M controller"? The setup fails and I can't continue. Any idea's as to what I can clean up to reflect during the setup.exe that there is in fact NO controller installed?

Thanks

Create Windows 2000 driver disks. There is a win2ksetup.bat in netraid driver folder. Run it and fallow the instructions.

Then run winnt32.exe from Windows CD, at the firt reboot press F6 and install netraid drivers from floppy. Then continue.
