HP 932 fonts

Hi friends
First time here.
Switched from ailing Dell with Me system to Compaq with XP.
Printer 932C works fine, except font which is extremely large. 9 Lines occupy almost half page.
Downloaded driver for printer from HP through Google and installed it to no avail. Is there a way to select fonts for the printer? How?
I'd appreciate your help
