On rare and unpredictable occasions, the printer will produce random binary garbage, one or two lines per page. It will apparently keep doing this until an internal buffer is emptied. The buffer appears to be in the printer. Powering the printer off, or rebooting the computer, have no effect. It keeps churning out nonsense until it decides that it is finished.
Going to the control panel, clearing the print queue has no effect, because the queue is spooled in the printer, not in the computer.
I need a way to clear the printer's internal buffer.
I am running Windows 98. Usually the file is being sent out by Corel Word Perfect 8.
