Having problems with printing a .dat file (around 10MB) via the dos print command. I see the job queued up on our Print Server and the job does start to print but then stops at around 3.32MB every time. I've tried different printers on our network and the same problem occurs. I've even tried printing to a XEROX copier with print capabilities and the same problem occurs.
The .dat file that I'm having problems with is generated from an application and contains thousands of records but also contains PCL codes as well...so this leads me to believe that the problem has to lie within that file as I am and have been able to print other files; i.e. Powerpoint presentations, which are much larger than 10MB without a problem to the same printers. Again, I see the job printing and once it gets to about 3.3MB..I see it just countup VERY quickly to 10MB and nothing else prints thus I'm left with an incomplete print job.
Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.
