Hi All..
I am a new member! Recently my Dell win 98se partically crashed while installing Nortons anti virus 2005! My computer Tech Son re-installed Win98, and at the same time installed WinFast TV card and software! Now it conflicts with my Phillips Web Cam, and Web Cam won't work! He made many attempts to rectify, with no Luck!
Later I installed a new HP photosmart 7960 printer, and the installation freezes 3/4 the way through! My Son came over again and following tech help from HP's manual, it still won't install and freezes up!
I then installed the HP printer on My wifes Dell lap top WinXP and it installed fine and dandy! So, I asked Him, that since the WinFast card and software conflicts with the Phillips Web Cam, is it possible that it conflicts with the Printer installation. He said No Way! They aren't related, and couldn't possibly confict!
So, my question is! Could he possibly be wrong?? I am not a computer GURU, so I don't know! He is a very smart Coumpter Tech, and I hate to question His Computer knowledge if you know what I mean!
If I can get away with it, I may uninstall the WinFast software, and yank the card, and then try re installing the HP Printer! The TV card was a Birthday present, so I have to be carefull!
Any Help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
