HP 79 Service codes

Does anyone know what the problem is if a HP 4050N printer generates the code: 79,4165 ?<br><br>I know that the general category for 79 service calls suggest that yu replace the formatter PCB board, but I wanted to have some additional insight.

79 error generally mean that the printer was asked to do some process that it couldn't figure out how to do - a typical one is when you print some odd sort of font and the printer is trying to bitmap it, but the instructions it receives don't seem to make sense.<br>graphics can do the same thing. Or there is third-party memory that isn't functioning properly with t he printer. So although it can be a hardware issue, it isn't always.
