HP 750 will not align the cartridges

750 was stored for 6 months, took cartridges out, now when putting back, they will not align. I do get color test squares, the ink seems fine, but just can't get them to calibrate. Have new ink but wanted to try this forum first to see if I may be doing something wrong. Or could get some ideas of what to try.
