I had my HP 7210 printer hooked up[ as a network printer. Printing was slooooooooow, if it printed at all. Then I hooked the printer directly to one computer and printer was acceptably fast. Why was printing over the network slow and what can I do to correct it, please?

Thanks

Need more info. How did you hook it up on the network? Did you use a print server, if so which? What kind of network? How fast is the network for other applications?

Any error messages? What were you printing? What driver are you using?

I hooked the printer up to a router (hub?). There are five computers on the router and I do not use a server. All of the computers are in my home. The network is fast for other applications, although sometimes documents are a little slow in loading from a distant computer.
