I am having problems installing an old HP 7200 external CD writer on my laptop. The laptop runs Win2k pro and I am connecting thru the parallel port of a Belkin multi-hub, into the USB port on the laptop. The parallel port was supporting an HP printer previously, with no problems.
The original drivers and software supplied are old and not Win2k compatible, so I have downloaded something called "Epatap2k" which should be the parallel port drivers and I have also downloaded the updated CD software (HP DLA and Recordnow).
I cannot get the PC to recognise the burner at all, or the drivers. Any suggestions please ???
