hp 7150 printer problem

i've just purchase a hp 7150 printer.it installed fine under windows me but wont installed right in windows xp pro.i get this message cannot install this hardware there was a problem installing this hardware hp photosmart 7150 series an error occurred during the instation of this device access is denied.i contacted hp but they just keeping sending me info on administration rights which i told them from the start i'm the system adninistor on my system.i dont have a network either.i tried everything uninstalled reinstalled you name it.the funny thing is the printer works but i cant installed any of the software that came with the printer and it just keeps trying to install the device.i click finished and then its finds the hardware again and gives me the error again and again.i notice under windows me i have 4 devices for the printer and under windows i have 3 and it seams like the 4th is causing the problem. can anyone help.

yes i tried the ones on there web site and the ones on the cd which are the exact same ones.i'm think my problem has something to do with my old printer drivers hp 832c.under me i could unistalled the drivers in the remove programs window but in xp i was using the xp drivers with the old printer and there is no uninstall for the hp 832c i could only remove the printer itself.i notice under some of the new printer settings it shows the old printer were it can have some of the settings changes but does'nt work anyway.i may have to hook up the old printer then find out what drivers are used then manually remove them.
