Any experiences with using the "off brand" cartridges over the true HP cartridges. The differences I am seeing in costs make us consider this. Any suggestions on brands or outlets is appreciated.
Thank you,
Ron

I will give you the answer that I tell every one that asks me about this, since I am an Authorized Service Center for HP Printers.

I have customers that love the remaned/off-brand toner cartridges, and I have customers that hate them. Personally, I never use them in any of my HP printers, because I've seen more than most people, and I've yet to find a remaned\off-brand toner that performs as well as the genuine HP.

I have a major accounting firm that used the lexmark cartridges in his HP's. He found that even though he was saving money per cartridge, he was replacing them more often, because they didn't offer the yield that they claimed, or because of failures.

I have another customer that has a LaserJet 4000, and is using remaned/off-brand cartridges. They spend $98 per cartridge for these. The genuine HP's for this printer are sold at $125. $27 in savings for the cartridge is enough that the companies may consider them, but consider this as well. I have been out to their company to troubleshoot printing issues, only to find out it was the toner that was the cause. At $95 per hour, your savings may not be worth it.
