HP 4600 control panel locked out

Hello,

I have an HP 4600 color laser. THe control panel message keeps saying "ACCESS DENIED".

the onboard web site says that the control panel security setting is MAXIMUM.

I can't find ANYTHING in the manuals about reseting this item.

Can anyone point in the right direction?

Someone has access that only you should have. You need to use your HP JetAdmin software to unlock the control panel. Go to the on-line help for the software for instructions on how to do it and to set a password. If you don't have the CD, you should be able to download the software from HP. Other than that you would have to use an ASCII PJL escape sequence.
