Hi

I have a HP Color 4500, which has worked fine for a long time. It´s a network printer that used to be connected to a NT server.
But now we changed to a new W2K server, and after that switch it doesn´t work properly.

I can´t make the settings stay. I have a duplex unit and the 500 sheets extra tray.
I can change it on the properties page on the server but I can´t apply changes. The settings get lost every time.
"Apply" never lits up. So the users can not write duplex.
The normal printing works fine. We are using latest PCL 6 driver according to HP´s driver checker.
What´s wrong?

Part of the problem may be the PCL 6 driver. I know this will seem odd, but we (the techs in my company) have run into several different machines that had communications problems with the PCL 6 version. Try changing it to PCL 5 and see if that helps. Have a nice day!!!

Thanks

I changed the drivers - to the same driver again, and suddenly it worked.
I deleted the printer and reinstalled it though.
Might have been something hanging ther that disappeared when I deleted it.

Mike
